Dice Forge is a dice-crafting game in which the players roll for resources and gold. Gold can be spent to upgrade your dice in the fashion you find most useful and resources are spent to purchase cards with extra abilities or victory points. Dice upgrades include victory points, gold, increased resources, and other abilities. How you arrange those upgrades on your dice is incredibly important!
What Lee likes about Dice Forge:
This game doesn’t scale well for two players. I like playing it with 4 players best. It’s quick and easy to learn. I really like how everyone rolls their dice on each players turn and how your upgrades are available as soon as you put them on your dice. You aren’t waiting for it to come back around to your turn or to shuffle a deck before you get access to the cool new thing you bought
What Nicole likes about Dice Forge:
We’ve played this with two and with four players. I definitely like it more with four players. You get the same number of dice rolls with two players since you roll your dice twice every time you roll, but there is a lot less interaction since there are only two of you moving around the board. The art is beautiful as is typical of an Asmodee title. This is a fast-playing game that is tons of fun and would be great when you just want to play something short and lighthearted.
