Hounded is a two player bluff and escape game. One player is the fox and your goal is to reveal all three time tiles or to evade the hunting party long enough to reveal all but six tiles. Your opponent controls the Master of the Hunt and his hounds. They win if they can prevent the fox from moving or if the master can force the fox to end his turn within one space of the Master. Each figure has a different rule for movement which makes each turn very important. The fox has more freedom of movement, but the master gets to move three pieces per turn.
What Lee says about Hounded:
I love games that Naomi can understand and beat me at that aren’t made for children. She is really good at this game. The fox is super easy to control. I feel like the real challenge of the game is to win as the hunting party.
What Nicole says about Hounded:
For how small this game is, there is a lot of challenge involved. The fox is easy to play, but to difficult to win with because you’re trying to uncover all but six of the tiles while not getting cornered by the hunting party. The hunting party because they don’t move as fast, but you have more pieces to move and can cover a large part of the forest layout pretty easily. I also love the art in this game. Simple, graphic designs always grab my attention and i love how all the images are comprised of triangles.
